Listen with Your Heart

June 6th is the last rehearsal for Full Monty, which I am doing tech for. I have rehearsal from 5pm-12am. When I got that email I almost cried in the middle of physics. Today I had to tell my choir teacher that I couldn’t go to our performance. What made it worse was he and one of the seniors were talking to me about missing the performance and how it was part of my school requirements. The senior said “Performance before rehearsal!” But that rehearsal is the last one before the show opens. I’m not in the show but I’m still part of it and thats my summer, doing crew for the theater. The performance that I’m going to miss is my favorite one out of the whole year. It’s when we say goodbye to the seniors. I would rather be at my school on the virge of tears than be at the theater until mid-night. It just makes me so sad inside to think that I won’t get a chance to say goodbye to some of my dearest friends. :(
